The Slingshot Venture Fund:
Designed to Seed and Follow on

The Slingshot Venture Fund, managed by Artesian, is a co-investment fund with an exclusive agreement to invest in every seed stage Slingshot Accelerator Startup as well as the ability to follow-on in subsequent angel/VC investment rounds.

The $15 million fund has been formed as an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP) registered with Innovation and Science Australia. The ESVCLP program is a federal government initiative designed to stimulate investment into Australia’s early stage venture capital sector by allowing generous tax concessions to investors of funds that meet the registration and investment criteria.

The investment strategy of the Fund is to gain exposure to high quality capital-efficient technology focused startups that have been selected, screened and mentored by Slingshot from seed stage. The Fund then supports its seed-stage startups by providing follow-on co-investment, where startups are successful in raising external funding following the Slingshot program, subject to the Fund’s criteria.
