Vantari VR is an enterprise at the intersection of medical imaging and virtual reality (VR). Our proprietary applications focus on patient consultation, surgical planning and medical education.
Why did you apply to the program?
As an early stage startup, Vantari VR was ready to take the next step in commercial development. We were keen on being involved with Australia’s number one medtech accelerator to have access to Slingshot’s mentorship and build a partnership with HCF.
What’s it been like working with the HCF?
As a corporate partner, HCF was important to us in building a strong brand and an important community presence. There was direct access to the C-suite in HCF and we were able to learn some key lessons in fostering corporate relationships.
What’s the biggest learning you’ll take away from the Slingshot program?
Fixing objectives and key results to goals was an important learning from the accelerator. Throughout the Startup journey, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle or in the everyday workings of running your business. Having measurable outcomes helps focus the team.
What was your favourite aspect of the program?
As a health based accelerator, the HCF Catalyst program promoted collaboration between the selected Startups and Scaleups, and having them as colleagues in our journey was immensely beneficial and enjoyable. The mentorship from Slingshot also greatly accelerated our business to achieve our milestones in a far shorter period.
What’s next for your Startup?
As well as launching our first product in the coming months, we will continue to expand our network of hospitals and universities. Building on the solid platform of the accelerator, we will be looking at partnerships and recruitment as key components of the next phase of our growth.
