Why did you apply to the program?
We thought that there will be a lot of synergies with a fuel retail brand like Caltex since we are operating in the vehicle ownership experience space.
What’s it been like working with Caltex?
Working with Caltex has been really good. We and our investors are constantly surprised at the level of speed that Caltex is moving as a corporate. We are also thoroughly excited by the fact that there is so much management buy-in with pushing through initiatives with Caltex. That has been the impressive part working with Caltex.
What’s the biggest learning you’ll take away from the Slingshot program?
Our biggest learning and take away from the program is how we work with corporates so that a win-win proposition can be provided to both Carbar and Caltex. It’s interesting to see the angle that a corporate approaches from both an innovation and scale perspective.
What was your favourite aspect of the program?
My favourite aspect of the program is the level interaction and the close knit relationships formed during the program with both our cohort and Caltex staff.
What’s next for your Startup?
Exciting times ahead with the roll out of CarbarConnect and Mobility Convenience initiatives with Caltex. Our key focus on scaling up our growth and subsequently to raise our strategic investment funding round in the next 8 months.
