Tayble – Lion Unleashed Accelerator 2017

Tayble is an order processing app that sends restaurant orders directly to the kitchen and processes cashless payments. Unlike other alternatives, we have a lower barrier to entry as we leverage existing hardware, including customer phones and the restaurants’ POS.
Why did you apply to the program?
We could see a lot of mutual value that could be created by working with Lion and of course we were excited to spend time with Ben Hutt and the rest of the slingshot team. We are a team of very active learners and the course content was on point with the best practices for startups
What’s it been like working with the corporate?
Lion have been amazing to work with, not only from an investment stand point, but also the network they have opened up to us. But it hasn’t just been a one-way street, we’ve spent time in their offices teaching their leadership teams about the tools we use to increase our productivity which was great.
What’s the biggest learning you’ll take away from the Slingshot program?
The experience of learning to structure a pitch in a manner that can be presented to a room full of 450 people was great. I don’t think we would have done anywhere near as well if we didn’t have Craig’s “three things”.
What was your favourite aspect of the program?
The community in our cohort is invaluable. Everyone leaves their ego at home and is genuinely there to give and receive help from one another. Definitely made some life long friends.
What’s next for your Startup?
We grew 10 X during the 12 week program and have since grown 25 X since it finished. Right now, we are focusing on keeping the ship sailing smoothly as we continue to grow. We’d love to launch in the US later this year too, which we’re all pretty excited about.
